How To Get To Cabo San Lucas

SOLMAR V is located at the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, one of Mexico's fastest growing oceanside resorts. Due to increased airline service, it is now very easy to get to the SOLMAR V from or through the U.S. (for our clients abroad). The international airport for our area is San Jose del Cabo. When searching online at one of the airlines or agency sites, use airline code SJD.

Here are some of the gateway cities and airlines that fly directly into our airport:

Alaska Airlines: from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.
Continental: from Houston and Newark
American: from Dallas and Chicago
Delta: from Atlanta
America West: from Phoenix but many connections from the west coast, midwest and even back east.
Frontier: from Denver
Mexicana: from Los Angeles
Aero Mexico: from Ontario(Calif) and San Diego.

There are probably others but these are the main ones. Expedia and Travelocity are good way to start to see who flies in from your area. Afterwards you can check the individual airlines web site although sometimes the agencies have great rates.

When booking your flight REMEMBER that if you fly in the day the boat leaves you MUST land by 1 pm at the latest or come in one day early. Call or email us for hotel suggestions. On the return date of our schedule you can arrange your flight at anytime as you arrive back to port one night prior and overnight on the boat. So if your trip is Jan 4 - 12 you can book your return flight home anytime on Jan 12.

What To Do When You Arrive

Upon reservation confirmation, we will send you a pre-trip information sheet. If you do not receive it, please ask us for it. This will describe arrival procedures. Basically, once you clear Mexican immigration and collect your bags from the luggage carousel, you will proceed through customs. After clearing customs, if we have arranged for your prepaid transportation then just outside the terminal look for a sign from Cape Travel with your name on it, or the Solmar V logo. If you are handling your own transportation into Cabo San Lucas, then look for the Authorized Taxi booth where you can purchase shuttle tickets to the Hotel Solmar Suites. It is about a 45 minute ride into town. At the Hotel Solmar Suites, check in at the front desk and they will direct you to the waiting area for our Solmar V guests. A Solmar V scuba instructor will arrive at about 1 PM to start check-in procedures and the Solmar V group will be picked up about 2:30 PM and taken to the boat, about a 5 minute drive. The Solmar V departure time is usually around 4 PM, depending on the incoming flight schedules of our passengers.
